GRANTS PAID THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2009
In 2009 the Foundation paid out grants totaling $10.96 million to 161 grantees. The grant range for first time grantees was $25,000–$50,000; the grant range for annual grantees was $25,000–$125,000. Seventy-five percent of all grants were made for General Support.

In 2008, the Foundation reviewed and revised its funding priorities and is in the process of phasing out support for Child Care and is not accepting any new letters of inquiry in this area. Going forward, grantees previously assigned to the comprehensive "Community Development" category have been re-categorized into one of the Foundation’s three major wealth creation strategies: Home Ownership, Enterprise Development and Access to Capital. In addition, the Foundation has reduced the number of geographic areas or "clusters" in which it funds.
